Former Managing Director of GIHOC Distilleries Company Limited, Maxwell Kofi Jumah, has been arrested by the Economic and Organised Crime Office as part of ongoing investigations into suspected financial irregularities.

Sources within the agency indicate that Mr Jumah was picked up on Tuesday, April 28, following a raid on his private residence in Kumasi last week.

He is currently in custody and assisting investigators with ongoing inquiries.

According to persons familiar with the case, the arrest forms part of a broader probe into alleged breaches of public financial management regulations during his tenure at the state-owned company. Investigators are seeking to determine how certain official resources were managed under his leadership.
