Accra East: Faulty transformer causes power outage in parts of Madina — ECG
The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced a power outage affecting parts of Madina in the Accra East Region.
The disruption has impacted residents and businesses in areas including Libya Quarters and its environs.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, April 29, ECG attributed the situation to a technical fault.
“The outage being experienced is as a result of a faulty transformer at Madina Libya Quarters,” the statement read in part.
“Affected areas: Libya Quarters Astroturf park, Madina UN Area, and surrounding areas,” it added.
ECG assured customers that engineers have been deployed to fix the fault and restore supply as soon as possible.
