Nalop Technologies clinches top spot at MTN Business Pitch Challenge
Nalop Technologies has been crowned winner of the MTN Business Pitch Challenge at AshantiFest 2026, emerging as the top startup among five innovative businesses that competed in this year’s event.
For its outstanding performance, Nalop Technologies was awarded a grand prize of GH¢30,000, along with an MTN gift package and other souvenirs.
The cash prize is expected to provide crucial financial support to scale the NOLAP Prep platform and expand its reach.
PayAlert secured the second position, with AgriHub taking third place. AgriFirmex and Vynix Tech followed in fourth and fifth positions respectively.
Speaking after the competition, Eric Antwi, Sales Manager for MTN Ghana’s Northern Business District, highlighted the importance of the initiative in nurturing entrepreneurship and innovation.
He described the MTN Business Pitch Challenge as a strategic platform that enables small businesses and startups to present viable solutions to real-world challenges.
He explained that the GH¢30,000 prize serves as seed funding to help the winning startup grow, stressing MTN Ghana’s commitment to supporting impactful and practical business ideas.
According to him, the company’s SME-focused initiatives have reached over 100,000 small businesses in the past three years, including significant support for women-led enterprises.
Founder of Nalop Technologies, Mortoti-Agogyi Jephthah Lorlornyo, expressed appreciation to MTN Ghana for the recognition and financial support.
He noted that the team is committed to using the funds strategically to improve and expand the NOLAP Prep platform.
The Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon. Frank Amoakohene, who was present at the event, commended MTN Ghana for creating opportunities for young entrepreneurs.
He emphasized the importance of partnerships that promote innovation and empower youth to contribute meaningfully to economic development.
