Sammy Gyamfi's father-in-law murder: Police pursue wife of murdered robbery suspect over alleged role

Suspects

The Ghana Police Service has stepped up efforts to track down Patricia Osei Boateng, wife of a suspected armed robbery gang leader known as Duku, over her alleged involvement in a string of robbery attacks.

According to police sources, investigators believe Patricia Osei Boateng actively supported her husband’s criminal operations. She is alleged to have assisted in planning and facilitating some of the robberies.

Investigators further claim that she occasionally disguised herself as a nurse to bypass security checks and move items without attracting suspicion.

Police reports indicate that Duku was shot and killed during a gun battle with officers after a robbery operation linked to the death of Mr Amankwa, who is reported to be the father-in-law of Sammy Gyamfi. The confrontation reportedly occurred when officers moved in to arrest the suspect after monitoring his movements.

Security sources also suggest that Patricia Osei Boateng may have travelled to Dubai shortly after some of the alleged incidents. Authorities are currently verifying her travel records to establish whether she left the country in an attempt to evade arrest.

The Police Service is appealing to the public to provide any information that could assist in locating her.

Authorities have assured citizens that investigations remain ongoing and that all persons connected to the alleged criminal activities will be pursued and brought to justice.
