Koforidua: Disgruntled prostitute blows cover of Madam over daily sales leading to mass arrest
Police in the Eastern Region have arrested a group of suspected female commercial sex workers, their alleged mistress, and the operator of a brothel following a complaint lodged by a sex worker.
The case came to light after Stella Godwill, a Nigerian national working as a commercial sex worker in Nsukwao, Koforidua, reported being mistreated by her mistress, Simon Christabel Monday, for failing to meet a daily target of GHC 400.
Acting on her complaint, the Ghana Police Service swiftly arrested the alleged mistress. Further investigations led to the arrest of 12 other individuals linked to the prostitution ring operating in Dadiasem.
The suspects face multiple charges, including assault and battery, human trafficking, operating a brothel, and engaging in prostitution. Among those arrested are Princess Sebastian, 15; Christabel Simon, 31; Nafisa Ibrahim, 28; Gifty Beauty Francis, 25; and Felicity Nanmwa, 30.
Authorities also apprehended Omari Gyamfi, who is alleged to operate the brothel where the activities were taking place.
