I will not bother you much about the way he has carried himself with unstoppable diligence and emotional intelligence in the line of his duties.
Furthermore, the pinnacle of this all-important piece is why Dr Mahamudu Bawumia's policy initiatives and ideas still remain superior.
As I have stated, contemporary politics is driven by intellectual debate and anchored on the display of impactful policies and ideas that serve the benefit of all.
The consummate politician, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, widely known and recognized for his knowledge in crafting laudable policy initiatives, has set the bar high with demonstrable leadership acumen and skills.
He is not only recognized in Ghana, but his exploits and contributions are felt outside the Country, and this is a mark of a leader with immeasurable vision and policies.
Fast forward, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is the only politician fortunate to have over 33 policies to his credit, and these are real impactful initiatives implemented.
He came from an economic background and delivered so many transformative and innovative policies as Vice President for 8 years.
Due to the changing needs and how the world economy has evolved and advanced, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia came out with varied policies through digitization.
We are in a digital economy, and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has demonstrated situational leadership by being flexible to the changing needs of the people.
However, some people, through their lack of knowledge, often launch some scanty attacks on him as though he has shifted his focus from the economy to digitization.
Meanwhile, digitization and the economy go hand in hand, and the world's economy currently thrives on digitization, which serves as a catalyst.
On the innovative policy Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia championed through the digital economic space, the mobile interoperability created an avenue and space where people can do transactions from one mobile network to another.
This great initiative, despite its importance in making easy transactions of business through the digital platform, contributed to job creation for people with the requisite knowledge.
Importantly, this is one of the transformative policies Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has spearheaded, and others like the Digital Property Address System, roll out the Ghana card, one Constituency one Ambulance, Zipline Drones Medical Delivery, Renewal of NHIS through mobile phones, etc.
Other policy initiatives include the Gold purchase programme, the Gold for Oil programme, Agenda 111, E-Pharmacy, the no guarantor system for student loans, and others
To highlight the importance of the Gold purchase programme, which was implemented in 2021, the policy, through its successful implementation, has helped increase Ghana's gold reserve.
In fact, Ghana's gold reserve at the end of 2024 stood at 30.5 tonnes which has been used to cushion the depreciation of the Cedi to the dollar from the Bank of Ghana.
What's revealing is that the current government, through the Bank of Ghana's Deputy Governor, explained the significant role played by this policy in stabilizing the Ghanaian Cedi.
Realistically, the impact of these policies on Ghana's economic transformation is a testament to why Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia's policy initiatives and ideas are superior and second to none.
In summary and at this crucial moment, it's an undeniable fact that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia's quest to lead the NPP is not out of desperation but to continue these impactful and transformative policies.
He remains the backbone of the NPP and the delegates' choice to lead the Party to victory in the 2028 elections.
