Ghana signs deal with Grenada to recruit Ghanaian nurses
The Government of Ghana has signed a landmark agreement with the Government of Grenada to deploy qualified Ghanaian nurses to the Caribbean nation as part of efforts to support and strengthen its healthcare system.
The initiative falls under Ghana’s International Health Workforce Exchange Programme, which seeks to create professional opportunities for Ghanaian health workers abroad while fostering bilateral cooperation between Ghana and partner countries.
In an official notice, the Ministry of Health (MoH) announced that it is inviting experienced and dedicated registered nurses to apply for deployment to Grenada in five key specialisations — Critical Care Nursing, Accident and Emergency Nursing, Infectious Disease Nursing, Public Health Nursing, and General Nursing.
According to the Ministry, applicants must meet all regulatory requirements of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana and possess a minimum of five years of professional experience in their respective fields.
Application Requirements
Interested candidates must submit the following:
Certified copies of academic and professional certificates
Proof of good standing from the Nursing and Midwifery Council
Police criminal clearance certificate
Valid passport (with at least two years’ validity)
Two recent passport-sized photographs
Updated curriculum vitae
Two reference letters (dated within the last six months)Any other relevant supporting documents
Application Process
Applications open on Friday, October 24, 2025, and close on Tuesday, October 28, 2025. Submissions should be made via the official Ministry of Health recruitment portal at https://hr.moh.gov.gh or through email at [email protected].
The Ministry indicated that shortlisted applicants will be contacted for interviews and required to present both original documents and certified copies for verification. It also cautioned that incomplete or ineligible applications will not be considered.
Officials say the agreement will not only deepen the long-standing Ghana–Grenada relationship but also highlight the excellence of Ghana’s nursing professionals on the global stage.
