Fake Credentials, False Science: The Rot in NDC Governance

Prof Nana Ama Klutse,

In the current John Dramani Mahama-led NDC administration, more than 20 appointees are alleged to have secured their positions using fake academic qualifications. This alone reflects how the NDC, as an institution, appears to reward mediocrity, intellectual decay, and analytical bankruptcy.

The falsification of academic credentials to gain employment is a criminal act under Ghanaian law. Yet, these individuals continue to hold office and unlawfully draw salaries from hardworking taxpayers. A future NPP administration will undoubtedly revisit this matter.

For the purpose of this write-up, however, my focus is on the intellectual culture within the NDC—a party notoriously populated by individuals who consistently display shallow reasoning. Even the few who might appear capable of critical thought often descend into absurdities when intelligent analysis is most required.

On "Dechemicalization"

In a post last night, I challenged the claim of “dechemicalization” made by the CEO of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Prof. Nana Ama Klutse. With my background in O’level chemistry, I stated clearly: there is no such process in the field of chemistry as “dechemicalization of a flowing river.”

Since then, a legion of NDC loyalists, led by Naa Ayele Hammond, have mocked my O’level chemistry foundation, suggesting that my academic journey ended there and that I lack the intellectual capacity to challenge a PhD holder.

My Academic Journey

For their information: I am a qualified Medical Radiographer and also hold a Master’s degree in International Relations and Diplomacy. Entry into radiography requires rigorous training in pure science—physics, chemistry, anatomy, and physiology—not street-level hustling.

Those who doubt my credentials may verify them at my alma mater, the prestigious Saint John’s School, Sekondi. So, anyone under the illusion that I lack the capacity to challenge the falsehoods of a so-called PhD holder should reorganize their thinking.

Breaking It Down

Let me simplify this for those struggling to grasp the basics: attempting to purify a fast-flowing river by adding chemicals is as futile as pouring polluted water into a basket and trying to add alum to clean it. Does that sound logical?

Common Logic Missing

Why is common sense so alien to NDC loyalists? Time and again, even the supposedly “learned” among them abandon reason and embrace absurdity. This forces me to revise my notes on their intellectual capacity.

They claim I misunderstood the EPA CEO. In reality, it is they who failed to comprehend her words, blinded by their own intellectual constipation.

The Circus with CSOs

I watched the entire engagement between Mahama and his team with CSOs. I listened carefully to the EPA CEO, both during that session and later on JoyNews’ Newsfile. She repeated the same non-existent “dechemicalization” process. My critique is therefore grounded in fact, not conjecture.

The Tired Mantra

As expected, NDC loyalists resorted to their worn-out mantra: “You are a grown man, act your age.” This is their default defense whenever their arguments collapse under the weight of academic scrutiny.

I have been on Facebook since its inception and am well acquainted with these archaic, recycled tactics. Let me assure them: such hollow rhetoric does not move me in the slightest.
