For a Stronger NPP: Clear Path for Boakye Agyarko

I've had the privilege of coming across a statement by a leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Boakye Kyeremateng Agyarko, a renowned economist, politician, and former banker, announcing his intention to contest for the NPP National Chairmanship position, aptly dubbed "A Call to Duty: NPP National Chairmanship."

It's widely acknowledged within the NPP, both locally and internationally, that an overwhelming majority of party members are rooting for Agyarko to assume the Chairmanship position, believing he's the only one who can revitalize the Party from its current state of decline.

All aspirants vying for the Chairmanship position are commendable, but they can attest that when Agyarko is in the running, he'll lead in terms of age, experience, international exposure, party work, and dedication. As a founding member of the NPP in 1992, Agyarko has driven the Party's growth and development, demonstrating unwavering commitment to its ideals.

The Party must put aside differences and rally behind a leader embodying unity, integrity, and vision. Other aspirants should graciously step aside and pave the way for Boakye Agyarko.

With impressive credentials, unwavering commitment, and an inclusive agenda, Agyarko embodies NPP's aspirations and catalyzes collective triumph. His dedication is evident in his activism and leadership within the Party, including Chairman of The Danquah Busia Club of North America and Trustee of the Busia Foundation.

His experience as National Campaign Manager in the 2012 Presidential election and Policy Adviser to the Presidential Candidate in the 2016 election solidifies his candidacy. Agyarko's professional background as a banker, having worked at Bank of New York for over two decades, demonstrates exceptional leadership and management skills.

He rose through the ranks to become Vice President and Head of Global Network Management for the Americas in the Investment Management and Services Division. His tenure as Energy Minister showcases his ability to shape policy and drive progress in critical sectors.

Agyarko's international experience and connections provide a unique advantage for the NPP. His expertise in international relations and finance can facilitate stronger global partnerships, attract foreign investment, and enhance diplomatic efforts.

Even after declaring his intent, it's overshadowed the party's presidential race, underscoring the weight he carries and how the party wants him as chairman. Party members see Agyarko as Chairman being the game-changer of NPP fortunes.

Agyarko is noted as a forthright, disciplined, and intrepid leader who can bring sanity, decorum, and order back to the party. His deep understanding of the party's tradition and religiously pluralistic approach makes him an exceptional candidate.

To those vying for the Chairmanship position, it's time to consider the greater good of the Party. As Joseph Campbell, an American mythologist and writer, once said: "We must be willing to let go of the life we have planned, so as to have the life that is waiting for us." We urge you to let go of your personal ambitions and step aside for Boakye Agyarko, allowing the Party to have the life waiting for it - prosperity, unity, and success under his leadership.
