Oguaa Fetu Afahye underway in Cape Coast

A colourful procession of chiefs, queen mothers, traditional warriors and priests has begun in the historic city, Cape Coast ahead of the annual grand durbar of the Oguaa Fetu Afahye Festival.

The traditional leaders, adorned in resplendent Kente, gold ornaments, and centuries-old beads, rode high in elaborately beautifully decorated palanquins.

The procession started from Mfantsipim School, went through the streets captivating the thousands of cheering residents and tourists who lined the streets.
