President Mahama appoints 15 new ambassadors and high commissioners

President John Dramani Mahama has named 15 individuals to head Ghana’s diplomatic missions abroad, following consultations with the Council of State.

In a letter signed by Dr Callistus Mahama, Executive Secretary to the President, and addressed to the Minister for Foreign Affairs, the appointments include ambassadors, high commissioners, and a consul-general to represent Ghana in key international locations.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been directed to take immediate steps to initiate the necessary procedures to formalise the appointments.

These nominations are part of President Mahama’s efforts to strengthen Ghana’s diplomatic engagement and promote the country’s interests abroad.
