Ho Dome EP Basic School gets support

Renowned philanthropist Mr. Francis Abba, in collaboration with the Progressive Youth Club, has reaffirmed his commitment to community development through a generous cash donation to the Ho Dome EP Basic School.

The contribution follows an appeal made by the school for support toward its ongoing development projects.

Though the exact amount was not disclosed, the donation is expected to significantly aid the school in executing key initiatives. The funds were received on behalf of the school by Mr. Patrick Dzah, Vice Chairman of the School Management Committee (SMC).

Expressing his appreciation, Mr. Dzah lauded Mr. Abba’s generosity and urged other well-meaning individuals and groups in the region to emulate his example. He described the gesture as timely and impactful.

The school’s leadership also expressed surprise and deep gratitude at the speed with which their appeal was met. Mrs. Judith Kuseto, speaking on behalf of the staff, said the support exceeded their expectations and highlighted the spirit of solidarity shown by Mr. Abba and the Progressive Youth Club.

The club, which operates under the motto “We stand for support,” is based in Ho and has a membership of over 168 individuals. It is known for its commitment to social responsibility and uplifting vulnerable communities through targeted support initiatives.

Speaking on the motivation behind the donation, Mr. Abba explained: “I was touched by the appeal made and had no option than to consult my executives so we could do something about the situation.”

In addition to the donation, Mr. Abba announced that the Progressive Youth Club will soon release a Borborbor music album titled “Nu Gãwoe Mawu Dzrado Di Nam.” The album is scheduled to be launched later this year during the club’s annual get-toagether, further emphasizing the club’s blend of cultural engagement and community service.

This act of kindness from Mr. Abba and the Progressive Youth Club stands as a powerful reminder of the difference collective goodwill can make in transforming lives and supporting education in local communities.
