AFCOM-Worldwide to complete abandoned washroom project at Deaf

Koforidua school for the Deaf

All For Christ Outreach Ministries (AFCOM) - Worldwide has pledged to complete an abandoned washroom facility for the Koforidua School for the Deaf, located at Old Estate, as part of its continued support for the institution.

The ministry also announced plans to replace the school’s wooden beds with metal ones, following a request by the school’s management aimed at improving hygiene and combating bedbug infestations.

Despite having supported the school in previous years, AFCOM reaffirmed its commitment to improving conditions for both students and staff, citing the ongoing need for better infrastructure and resources.

Rev. Ernest Agyapong, leader of AFCOM in the USA and Ghana, made the announcement last Thursday during a donation visit. The ministry presented food items, toiletries, football jerseys, fan milk and yoghurt, along with an undisclosed sum of money to the school.

Expressing concern over the poor condition of the school’s washroom, Rev. Agyapong promised to complete an abandoned facility currently under construction to replace the existing one.

He also confirmed plans to upgrade the school’s beds to metal frames to address health and sanitation concerns.

Rev. Agyapong expressed gratitude to AFCOM members in the USA and Ghana, as well as other individuals who have supported the ministry’s philanthropic work over the years. He encouraged others to follow suit and extend help to the school to alleviate its numerous challenges.

The Headmistress of the school, Joyce Adu Agyemang, commended Rev. Agyapong and the AFCOM Worldwide team for their consistent support. She assured them that the donated items would be used for their intended purpose.

She further appealed to individuals, NGOs, religious organisations, and corporate bodies to regularly support the school to improve the welfare of its students.
