Tanko calls for investors, tourists and stakeholders to join in shaping Volta Region

H.E. Gabriel Kwamegah-Atokple Tanko, a member of the Council of States, has called on investors, tourists, and all stakeholders to join in shaping a brighter future for the Volta Region.

H.E. Tanko made this appeal during a visit from the Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, who officially congratulated him on his election as the Council of State member for the Volta Region.

This election took place on February 11, 2025, in Ho, Volta Region. Accompanying the Minister were the Volta Regional Chairman of the NDC, Hon. Mawutor Agbavitor, and the Acting Volta Regional General Secretary, Hon. Bright Kwashie Ege.

During their visit, discussions focused on fostering sustainable development in the Volta Region. They explored strategic ways to attract investors, boost the local economy, enhance infrastructure, and improve educational and healthcare facilities, as well as fully harness the region’s tourism potential to drive economic growth and autonomy.

The Regional Minister and his team reaffirmed their commitment to this shared vision, pledging to work diligently toward the progress of the Volta Region. H.E. Tanko noted that their dedication serves as a source of inspiration, reinforcing his resolve to contribute in every possible way to the realization of the Volta Rising Agenda.

He took the opportunity to reintroduce the Volta Region as “the Oxygen City of Ghana—a place of boundless opportunities and wonderful people.” H.E. Tanko also expressed his sincere gratitude to the Regional Minister, the Chairman, and the Secretary for their unwavering commitment to collective growth.
