OSP declares Ken Ofori-Atta wanted on social media platforms

The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has officially declared former Finance Minister Kenneth Nana Yaw Ofori-Atta wanted, urging the public to provide any information on his whereabouts.

This follows a press conference in Accra last week, where the OSP labeled Ofori-Atta a fugitive.

According to a notice posted on the OSP’s official X (formerly Twitter) page, Ofori-Atta, born on November 7, 1958, is a 66-year-old male with black eyes, black hair, and brown skin. Authorities believe he may be in the United States or the United Kingdom.

The Special Prosecutor’s Office has leveled multiple charges against the former minister, including alleged involvement in the Strategic Mobilisation-GRA contract, termination of the ECG-BXC contract, payments related to the National Cathedral, procurement of ambulances, and the management of the Tax Refund Account.

The OSP has urged anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact them via call or WhatsApp at 0554494499 or 0554484488.

Meanwhile, the office has issued a legal disclaimer, emphasizing that Ofori-Atta, like all accused persons, is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
