Maame Ama Pratt appointed Press Secretary to Prof Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang
Maame Ama Pratt, daughter of renowned journalist and social commentator Kwesi Pratt, has been appointed as Press Secretary to Vice President Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang.
The announcement was made in a statement issued by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, a member of the Presidential staff.
In her new role, Maame Ama Pratt, who is also known as a television show host, will act as the official spokesperson for the Vice President. Notably, she is married to Mr. Kwame Owusu Danso, the running mate of Mr. Alan Kyerematen for the upcoming 2024 general elections.
Her appointment comes alongside several other key officials in the Vice President’s office, including:
- Alex Percival Segbefia – Chief of Staff
- Mrs. Alberta Graham – Head of Administration
- Prof. Theresah Ennin – Presidential Staffer and Aide
- Ms. Daniella Mavis Mathias – Secretary to the Vice President
Additionally, a team of policy advisors has been appointed to assist with the Vice President’s agenda:
- Dr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo – Political Policy Advisor
- Prof. Sharif Mahmud Khalid – Economic Policy Advisor
- Dr. Hamza Zakaria – Economist
- Ms. Mansa Amoa–Awuah – Finance Expert
- Dr. Mariam Rashinatu Iddrisu – Social Sector Policy Advisor
These appointments are part of the Mahama administration’s initiative to enhance governance and ensure the effective implementation of policies under Vice President Opoku-Agyemang’s leadership.
