Margaret Ansei appointed Acting CEO of Ghana Enterprises Agency
Margaret Ansei, popularly known as Magoo, has been named the Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Enterprises Agency (GEA).
A seasoned public servant with extensive experience in governance and development, Ms. Ansei previously served as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Suhum in the Eastern Region. Her appointment, effective January 27, 2025, reflects the government’s confidence in her leadership abilities and dedication to advancing Ghana’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
As Acting CEO, Ms. Ansei will spearhead the GEA’s mission to empower micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across the country. Her role will focus on driving innovative programs, capacity-building initiatives, and financial support to bolster economic growth and create jobs.
The GEA plays a pivotal role in promoting MSMEs, which form the backbone of Ghana's economy. With her proven track record in local governance and community development, Ms. Ansei is poised to lead the agency in fostering entrepreneurship and strengthening the foundation of small businesses nationwide.
Her leadership is expected to further enhance the GEA’s impact, ensuring that MSMEs receive the support they need to thrive in an increasingly competitive market.
