Mahama appoints Felix Gyamfi as Acting Director-General of National Service Authority

Felix Gyamfi has been named the Acting Director-General of the National Service Authority, effective January 22, 2025.

The announcement was made via an official letter signed by Callistus Mahama, Secretary to President John Dramani Mahama. The appointment aligns with Article 195(1) of Ghana’s Constitution and the provisions of the National Service Authority Act, 2024 (Act 1119).

Per the letter, the appointment is subject to the constitutionally mandated advice of the Authority's governing board, which will consult with the Public Services Commission to finalize the process.

Mr. Gyamfi has been given a 14-day window to formally confirm his acceptance of the role.

The National Service Authority is a key institution tasked with equipping Ghanaian youth for national development, fostering employability, and promoting service-oriented initiatives to contribute to the country’s growth.
