NPP performs better in opposition; they should stay there for 20 to 32 years – Asuom Kontinhene
The Kontihene of Akyem Asuom, Nana Boadi Amponim Obodade II, has disclosed that he wishes the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to stay in opposition for three decades.
According to him, the NPP performs better when in opposition and must stay there for donkey years.
The Kontihene of Asuom is of the view that the NPP while watching from the sidelines can help Ghanaians with their ideas.
“The NPP as a party should remain in opposition for 20 to 32 years and help Ghanaians with their ideas, as they perform better in opposition,” Nana Boadi Amponim Obodade II told Kasapa FM.
ORAL
The Kontihene of Asuom is backing the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) initiative of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) government.
He insists he has evidence of looting and will present it to the ORAL committee for validation.
Nana Boadi Amponim Obodade II who has strong confidence in ORAL wants the ruling government to institutionalise it to ensure it stays beyond just the four-year term of President John Dramani Mahama.
“I’m preparing my petition to [present to ORAL]. I have evidence of looting. One of the main reasons we voted for the NDC is ORAL. It must be institutionalised beyond 2028,” the Kontihene of Asuom said.
