St. Sark blasts Mahama for not holding Thanksgiving Service at his church
The General Overseer of the Open Arms Ministry, St. Sark, has criticised President John Dramani Mahama for holding the National Christian Thanksgiving service last Sunday.
He voiced strong dissatisfaction with the venue, the Ohene Konadu Auditorium at the University of Professional Studies, (UPSA) and criticized the clergy who attended.
At a press briefing on Tuesday, St. Sark described the event as "a great dishonor to God." He labeled the service, organized to thank God for President Mahama's victory and the peaceful December 7th general elections, as "abominable and contemptuous."
St. Sark condemned the participation of prominent clerics such as Archbishop Nicholas Duncan Williams, Archbishop Charles Agyinasare, Prophet Owusu Bempah, Bishop Salifu Amoako, and Rev. Stephen Wengam, asserting that they are "not true servants of God" and should not have been part of the occasion. He alleged that many of them are involved in occult practices, claiming that the corporate prayer led by Archbishop Duncan Williams for President Mahama "was not accepted by God."
"They all have ill motives against John Dramani Mahama and the NDC and they are the reason Ghana is not progressing," he stated.
Addressing the choice of venue, St. Sark insisted that, according to God's plans, the thanksgiving service should have been held at his church auditorium, Open Arms Ministry, located at Bantama North Suntreso. He claimed to be the sole individual with the spiritual mandate to determine the participants and date for such an event.
"John Mahama must do the needful because my spiritual efforts earned him the Presidency. Nobody in Ghana can claim he or she facilitated the victory of NDC and John Mahama more than I did," St. Sark declared.
He further asserted that the President's actions have provoked God, warning that the only remedy is to organize another thanksgiving service.
