#Election2024: ‘You will be held individually liable’ – Mahama cautions unscrupulous military personnel causing mayhem
The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has issued a caution to military personnel causing mayhem in the ongoing electoral process of the 2024 General Election.
In a post on Facebook, the former president described such military personnel as unscrupulous.
He warned that all military personnel disrupting the declaration of parliamentary results in some constituencies should take note that they will be held individually liable and responsible for their actions.
“My attention has been drawn to the violent activities of some unscrupulous military personnel, deployed to cause mayhem and disrupt the declaration of parliamentary results in some constituencies.
“This is to caution the personnel involved that they will be held individually liable and responsible for their actions,” John Dramani Mahama said in a post on Facebook.
Meanwhile, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has admonished the Electoral Commission (EC) to fast-track the collation and announcement of results of the Parliamentary elections.
Addressing a press conference on Sunday morning, NDC National Communications Officer Sammy Gyamfi accused the EC of deliberately delaying the announcement.
