Apostle Prof. Opoku Onyinah, former Chairman of the Church of Pentecost, has urged Ghanaians to approach the December 7 elections with prayer and careful thought to elect a leader capable of governing with integrity.

In a message shared on his social media platform on Tuesday, December 3, Apostle Onyinah emphasized the divine significance of the democratic process and the responsibility of every citizen to make an informed decision.

“God is deeply interested in Ghanaians and our participation in the democratic process. As we prepare to vote on 7th December, it is important that you cast your ballot for the individual you believe can lead the nation with integrity and good governance,” he wrote.

He further advised voters to rely on prayer and reasoning when choosing their preferred candidate, underscoring that leadership is part of God’s plan but requires active human participation.

“God will not directly choose a leader for us; He has chosen to work through humanity. Therefore, you must prayerfully and thoughtfully use your reasoning to make a wise choice,” Apostle Onyinah added.

The revered cleric also reminded citizens to prioritize peace and democracy during and after the election, urging them to reject violence and focus on Ghana’s collective good.
