‘Writers of fictitious Agyapadie document used AI’ — Dr. Palgrave Boakye Danquah
Dr. Palgrave Boakye Danquah, a government spokesperson on governance and security, has indicated that the viral "Agyapadie document" could have been generated by unknown persons using AI technology.
In a post on his social media account on Wednesday, August 7, the NPP stalwart explained that the book is a compilation of already published stories online evidenced by the use of similar tenses and grammar.
“The Agyapade3 fiction document is a collection of stories online already published. Check the tenses used and compare that on AI where such publications were made. AI aided them,” he wrote.
The "Agyapadie" document first made headlines in 2016, featuring photos of President Nana Akufo-Addo and Okyenhene Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin alongside claims of a scheme by powerful Akyem figures to dominate Ghana's politics, economy and society.
It also predicted changes in SSNIT leadership and a banking sector clean-up, among other predictions that have come to pass in recent years.
Speaking at an event last week, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo said the book is a fake document created by his political opponents to court disaffection for the NPP ahead of the December polls.
Meanwhile, members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), notably their flagbearer John Mahama says the book’s contents and the current happenings are too accurate to be just propaganda.
