The ‘Kyebi Mafia’ and Gambaga Witch Camp

Truth Stands! From The City Where Father Bacchus Reigns Supreme in our dear country called Ghana. (Vandal City).

“By the rivers of Babylon, we sat and wept when we remembered Zion; For there our captors asked us for songs. Our tormentors demanded songs of joy.” Psalm 137.

The entire nation of Ghana is in captivity at the hands of a bunch of wicked souls from Kyebi and its environs located in the Eastern Region. In fact, even the vice president, H.E Mahamudu Bawumia appears to be in captivity as well.

At the group’s core is the headmaster/principal, H.E Nana Akufo-Addo, our dear country’s president. Also playing an integral part in the group is its financial architect, the Dishonorable Ken Ofori-Atta, our dear country’s former official finance minister. Lastly but not least, is the group’s lead singer and communication’s officer, Gabby Otchere-Darko. Together the above-mentioned men and few others empowered by them have basically held the entire country hostage.

In addition, the ‘Kyebi Mafia’ as the collective group is appropriately nicknamed, see themselves as more British than Ghanaian with their allegiance to the British Crown than anyone here in ‘Mother Ghana,’ forgetting that the British empire collapsed a long time ago.

They wished for Ghana to have remained autonomous but not sovereign akin to the British Virgin Islands with the British Crown the ultimate decision maker, and members of the mafia considered the premier family in the country.

Except that vision of an autonomous but not-sovereign Ghana couldn’t materialize. Firstly, because of Kwame Nkrumah, the American trained political prophet whose vision and exuberance would lead to him becoming modern Ghana’s sole founder albeit with lots of help from many others including Dr. J.B Danquah, PA Grant etc.

Secondly, Kyebi’s vision of Ghana would not happen since here in Ghana there are several other traditional paramountcies unlike the British Monarchy. Paramountcies of equal or more influence than Akyem Abuakwa including the Ya Na of Dagombaland (Dagbon), the Yagbonwura of Gonjaland, Awomefia of Anlo among others.

There is also the Asantehene (King of Asantes), for whom Ghana’s constitution carved out a special designation within the traditional set-up. The Asantehene wields considerable influence, although, the modern Asante Throne was revealed to be merely ceremonial with cultural autonomy (not sovereignty) at the just ended 25th anniversary of its current occupant; Autonomy but not sovereignty (full independence) meaning homage is still paid to the British Crown like the vision Kyebi nurtured for ‘Mother Ghana.’

Kwame Nkrumah would thwart that vision by declaring Ghana, a republic on July 1st, 1960. By declaring Ghana a republic, Nkrumah basically cut Ghana’s umbilical cord from the British Monarchy and signaled to the entire world that modern Ghana was either going to succeed as a ‘Sovereign Nation’ or die trying.

A declaration which appears to have irked Kyebi then and continues to vex the descendants to date hence the current government’s decision to abolish the July 1st Republic Day from the list of Ghana’s public holidays.

Ghana’s Witch Camps
Fellow Ghanaians, we return from the detour above to the topic at hand, i.e., Witchcamps and Witches. Our dear president and principal of the ‘Kyebi Mafia,’ has taken the decision that here in Ghana, human rights are when a man wakes up one day feeling like a woman proceeds to become a woman; and a man desiring the anus of another man proceeds to procure said anus for penetration.

Simultaneously, the president and members of the mafia rather curiously refuse to see the liberation of peoples’ mothers, grandmothers and sisters forced into witchcamp captivity as a human rights issue in Ghana. Thus H.E Akufo-Addo has refused to sign a bill passed by Ghana’s parliament into law which would disband and ban all these inhumane facilities once and for all.

A position this writer considers the most buffoonish decision a president has ever taken in modern Ghana. Fellow Ghanaians, not only do these prisons need to have been disbanded long before now, but the entire nation owes these families an apology and restitution for sitting idly whiles such barbaric treatment of our fellow citizens occurred.

Conclusion
Fellow Ghanaians, we trust that our version of Umar is coming. Umar later titled ‘al Faruq’ was the second caliph and Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) father-in-law who expanded the Islamic caliphate to greater heights in that era.

May God keep protecting and granting us strength to endure. May Allah (SWT) continue showing us mercy; And may the Lord Almighty, the one about whom Dr. J.B Danquah speaks, who guided our ancestors from far away lands to their current habitat, a country called Ghana, be with us all.

These are the times people wished for the French Revolution where citizens would march to Kyebi and set the palace on fire. In its stead, erect a monument with the inscription, ‘Babylon Was Here Some.’

God Bless Our Homeland Ghana; We Fear No One, GYE-NYAME! Selah.
