Napo's character: A country that tolerates thieves can live with arrogance — Manasseh Azure
Renowned Ghanaian investigative journalist Manasseh Azure Awuni has waded into the debate about New Patriotic Party (NPP) 2024 Running Mate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh's (Napo) perceived arrogance in an article titled "Is Napo Arrogant? And Does it Matter?".
In the article published on his website manassehazure.com, Manasseh argued that "the perception or reality of arrogance is not enough to disqualify him from being a running mate."
According to him, "A country that tolerates known thieves in office should be able to live with arrogance."
Manasseh further noted Ghana has "lived with humble thieves as leaders and also witnessed arrogant thieves at the helm of affairs."
While not discounting Napo's "haughtiness and insensitivity", the journalist maintained "the perception or reality of arrogance is not enough to disqualify him."
However, Manasseh advised that "Napo and his handlers should deal with the arrogance tag if he does not want to wear that cloak forever.
“It is a serious issue he must deal with,” he stressed.
