Kumawu MP launches exercise book donation drive to support education

The Member of Parliament for Kumawu, Ernest Yaw Anim, has launched a donation drive to provide exercise books to schools throughout his constituency.

According to MP Anim, this philanthropic effort, which began two months ago, aims to ease the financial burden on parents who struggle to afford essential educational materials for their children.

In an interview with OTEC News' Jacob Agyenim Boateng after the donation on Thursday, June 20, 2024, Mr. Anim expressed his commitment to improving academic excellence in the constituency.

"The initiative seeks to cultivate a culture of academic excellence, motivate students to achieve their potential, and create an environment that supports learning and academic success," he said.

Mr. Anim noted that this effort is part of his broader commitment to investing in education and nurturing the next generation of leaders.

In addition to donating exercise books, Mr. Anim has also provided football jerseys to all 98 primary and junior high schools in the constituency to support interschool competitions and promote sports among students.

"To foster healthy learning competition among students, I have also started distributing school bags to deserving students, demonstrating my dedication to enhancing educational opportunities for young learners," he added.

Through these initiatives, Mr. Yaw Anim aims to equip young people with the tools they need to succeed academically and make meaningful contributions to society.
