Embracing The Journey: Wisdom Through Time.

To become old and wise, one must embrace the journey of youth and the lessons it brings. As the saying goes, "To be old and wise, you must first be young and stupid." Though arguable, I prefer to say, the young shall grow, however the young must learn. It is essential to acknowledge that growth requires learning.

We all aspire to mature in various aspects of life and we all wish to put an end to belittlement and gain the respect of others. However, there are no shortcuts to these processes. To attain adulthood, one must first experience the innocence and naiveness of childhood.

Our collective desire for knowledge stems from the discomfort of being the least informed person in a room. Yet, this discomfort is a necessary part of the learning curve. No one enjoys being mocked for their lack of knowledge, but there is no quick fix for this either.

Success without suffering often means that someone else has endured challenges on a behalf, potentially missing out on valuable lessons. To be intelligent enough to impart ancient wisdom, we must first be humble enough to absorb new knowledge, even if it means initially appearing foolish. Fa wo kwasia pɛ wo nyin kyɛr

In conclusion, the path to being old and wise involves embracing the folly of youth, and recognising that growth demands a journey of learning, humility, and a willingness to endure challenges. Indeed, the young shall grow, but only if they are open to the indispensable process of learning. The young must learn.
