Our masked candidate and policies to be unveiled soon — The New Force
The movement behind Ghana's enigmatic 'Man in the Mask' billboards says it will soon unveil the person and policy vision for the country, amid growing public interest in its agenda.
In a press statement on Monday, November 27, the group known as 'The New Force' thanked Ghanaians for their "faith" and encouragement through social media messages.
The statement said in part, "We have noted with appreciation the growing enthusiasm for #TheNewForce and the increased desire by members of the public to share in a new vision of change."
While acknowledging speculation, the group clarified "no policies have been unveiled and no specific person, despite speculation, has been unveiled as the Man in the Mask."
They promised Ghanaians the identity and "rich and carefully thought through policy objectives and goals" will be revealed" in the shortest possible time."
The statement comes after a month billboards featuring a masked individual that have sparked intense debate.
Many speculate it could be another 2024 election contender.
For now, the group says it does "not take your faith in us for granted" and will communicate its policy direction.
Meanwhile, the group has in a video last week, confirmed speculations that its mission is to contest the next general elections and possibly end the political duopoly between the NPP and the NDC since 1992.
