Dorma East MP calls for calm ahead of NPP presidential primaries
The Member of Parliament for Dormaa East, Paul Apreku Twum Barimah, is calling for calm and internal cohesion ahead of the upcoming presidential primaries of the New Patriotic Party.
In a petition to the party, the legislator underscored the urgent need for peace and harmony within the ranks of the party before, during and after the primaries to prosecute an impactful campaign for the 2024 general elections.
He appealed to the aspirants and their assigns to refrain from intemperate language and acts which could spell doom for the party after the primaries.
“In recent times, tensions have heightened within the party. Therefore, it is essential that we approach this crucial period with unity, empathy and a shared sense of purpose. Together, we can ensure a peaceful and inclusive electoral process that strengthens the rank and file of our party”, he said in the petition.
