Dr. Akoto, Ghana's President in Waiting and the Backbone of Ghana's Economy Cometh

The son of the venerable and legendary Okyeame Baffour Osei Akoto, the founder of pre-independence political party, National Liberation Movement (N.L.M) and the longest serving Chief Linguist of Asante cometh.

The Legend, Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto is coming to transform the economy of Ghana just as he did to the Agricultural sector making him the best Minister for Food and Agriculture since Ghana's independence, and the best Minister under the Akufo- Addo Government.

Dr. Akoto hails from the Ashanti and Eastern regions. He is also direct cousins with the children of Simon Diedong Dombo who was a renowned Ghanaian politician, teacher and king from the Northern part of Ghana. He was a Member of Parliament that represented Jirapa-Lambussie District in the first Parliament of the first and second Republic of Ghana and one of the pillars of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Opoku Ware Secondary School (OWASS) should be proud to have Dr. Akoto as their 'old boy'. University of Ghana, Legon (UG- Legon) attests to the fact that Dr. Akoto has distinguished himself in the country and across the globe. It is time UG-Legon confer on him a professorship title. Just as the peerless J.A. Kuffour, former President of Ghana, and a step brother to Dr. Akoto went to Oxford in the UK and as one of the best President's Ghana has ever had, Dr Akoto also went to the renowned Cambridge University in the UK where he obtained his Master's and PhD; 'Akoto is a Legend'.

Kwadaso Constituency should be boastful of having Hon. Dr. Akoto as their MP, being the only person who went on two terms since the inception of the Constituency to date.

It is said that Agriculture is the backbone of Ghana's economy and Dr. Akoto is the one who has really made people believe that notion because of his unprecedented performance at the agriculture sector.

Amidst these global challenges of which Ghana has also suffered, Dr. Akoto has indeed demonstrated through his proactiveness at the agricultural sector to the people of Ghana that, assuredly, the agricultural sector is the backbone of the Country.

Under the Akufo-Addo led administration, the Agricultural sector has always been the main booster of the country's GDP.

Dr. Akoto is truly the backbone of Ghana's economy, and we need to let him take charge of the entire economy and the Country will be boosted as the Agricultural sector today. His name shall forever be remembered as the best Agricultural Minister in Ghana, i.e. it is said by many that he left an indelible mark at the Agric sector.

High profiled personalities and entities at home and abroad laud Dr. Akoto day in and day out.
Even the high-profiled personalities from the main opposition party, NDC and the other opposition parties in Ghana exclaim that Dr. Akoto is the best of the best, and he is second to none.

To talk of some of his achievements as the Minister of Agriculture and his contribution to Ghana and the globe, he under the Akufo- Addo government introduced the flagship; "Planting for Food and Jobs" (PFJ) programme placing Ghana on top when it comes to food security. About 2.5 billion Ghana Cedis was put into PFJ and has yielded over 50 billion Ghana Cedis.

Ghana is now the largest exporter of yam globally. Ghana's banana is the best in the world. To talk of innovations, the Agricultural sector under his watch is unprecedented in the history of Ghana. Ghana is now the food basket of sub- Saharan Africa and one of the food secured countries in Africa and globally. The Agricultural sector under Dr. Akoto is termed by many as the GDP boosting ministry of Ghana, i.e., the sector never records deficit on the GDP. In plain language, the Agricultural Economist, Dr. Akoto uses less to gain more. He is therefore resourceful and efficient.

Dr. Akoto's contribution to the NPP is unparalleled. It is so because he was born with and into the Party, his father being the founder of NLM, now NPP and his relative, S.D. Dombo also playing a major role for the Party and Ghana conclude everything. Like his father, he has financed NPP from day one till now, i.e. it is known to the leading members of the NPP that he is the main financier of the NPP but he never brags with it like the others do. The Legend, Dr Akoto was the Chairman of the 2008 NPP Manifesto Committee, meaning he was the artisan for the good policies for the Country which is benefiting the citizens of Ghana today.

He appeals to both the elite and layman.

He is indeed the backbone of the present government and Ghana. He is the pillar of the NPP.

Ghana's zaphenath-paneah, Dr. Okumk)m, Dr. Planting, Dr. GDP booster, the Legend, the Backbone of Ghana's economy, the pillar of NPP, the true father of NPP, many others are what he is called by many.

Truth be told, it is obvious that "Workaholic Akoto Tops All" (W.A.T.A.)

Ghana's President in waiting cometh.

SeLaH!!!
