Delivering mandate 11: who drives the wheel?
The biggest aspiration of any leftist along the political aisle in the Upper west Region is to consolidate the gains of the 11 constituencies come 2024. Traditionally, the upper west region is under safe haven of the “Akatamanso” party, but is subtly loosing its grip of base to the Busia-Dombo tradition.
The first fall of events occurred during the 2016 elections when the NDC lost five constituencies to the NPP. Efforts has since been made to regain the loses but has since not been easy for various reasons attributable to the crisis of leadership.
It then begs the question whether there is a need for structural amendments within the leadership of the party in the region or not. Taking a cue from the historical antecedents available; it is an obvious yes without equivocation that certain amends need to made within the leadership structure of the party. This is important to enable the party re-unite and foster the commitment of the rank and file of the party for victory 2024 and beyond.
Mr. Alhassan Adams Randy appeared in this light – engaging delegates in the map drawing- process to ensure that constituents have a say in the decisions that affect their lives. He is leading a grass-roots movement across the length and breadth of the region to fully understand their concerns and grievances for a balanced representation.
Alhaji Randy is a charismatic gentleman who is passionate about youth development and capacity building in the region . He is a trailblazer with distinct thoughts about regional development . The nature of his thoughts puts him on a path admired by many.
He comes from a background of entrepreneurship and a life of public service - with a lot of chalked successes. He intends to lead the front with his accumulated spirit of hard work , team work, inclusivity and sense of empathy. These are the most significant traits that would be imperative in leading the crusade of; “operation 11 constituencies”.
As time unravels, he will unveil his blueprint, strategy and well meaning intent in leading the “Akatamanso” fraternity within the Upper West Region, for victory 2024 and beyond.
Long live the NDC.
