Depend Upon His Word

I. MY BELOVED SISTERS when everything else shifts, who do you depend on? What do you depend on? What are you building your life on? Are you building your life on what does not move? Today as we face a noisy world, where opinions change with the wind, where negative news fills the air, where feelings pass away quickly, and even people we trust change, who will you depend on? What will you hold onto? Sister, let me assure you that in spite of these uncertainties, there is one thing that never changes: THE WORD OF GOD. Isaiah 40:8 “The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.” Do you know the Word? DO YOU ? To depend means to lean your full weight on. To trust it for direction, for provision, for comfort, for battle. In Matthew 4:4, “Jesus answered, ‘It is written: Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.” Remember, life brings crossroads, career decisions, marital decisions, and ministry decisions. In all, let us depend on His Word. Proverbs 3:5-6: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

II. MY DEAR BROTHERS in your darkest moment, remember that in Psalm 119:105 “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” Do you need a lamp today? What type of light are you using? Brethren, when you don’t know what to do, don't depend on Google first; depend on the Word. Don’t depend on your feelings first; feelings lie. Depend on what God has already said. John 16:13: “When he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. ” The Spirit and the Word never contradict. If you want direction, open the Book. for strength when you are weak. for victory when you are under attack. Ephesians 6:17 “Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” Your Bible is not for decoration; it’s a weapon. When discouragement hits, depend on Joshua 1:9. “Be strong and courageous... for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” The devil flees when you depend on what God has said, not on how you feel. BECAUSE IT NEVER FAILS. People fail. Plans fail. But God’s Word is guaranteed.

III. SON OF MAN, in Isaiah 55:10-11, God reveals the purpose of His Word. “As the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return to it without watering the earth... so is my word that goes out from my mouth: it will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” While you are waiting, more than your circumstances. to build the life of your family to withstand the storm. Jesus told a story in Matthew 7:24-25. “Everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.” Beloved, hearing is not enough; we must depend and DO. James 1:22 encourages us. “Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.”

IV. DAUGHTER OF ZION, where is your Bible? How often do you read your Bible? Joshua 1:8 “Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night.” Believe it: Mark 11:24 “Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” Speak it: Proverbs 18:21 “The tongue has the power of life and death.” Declare the Word over your home. Obey it: John 14:23 “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching.” Obedience is the highest form of dependence. Share it: When God brings you through, share your testimony. Revelation 12:11. THE WARNING: DEPENDING ON OTHER THINGS Jeremiah 17:5: “Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who depends on flesh for his strength.” So today God is asking, WILL YOU ? Not just on Sunday, not just in crisis, every day, every decision, and every battle. This is a DIVINE NEW DAY PROPHETIC WORD of encouragement sent forth through the authority and power of Christ Jesus and delivered to the brethren through God's vessel, Francis Ameyibor. Yes! 1 Peter 1:25 “But the word of the Lord endures forever.” When everything else shakes, . Because heaven and earth will pass away, but His words will never pass away. Matthew 24:35

V. 2026 IS OUR YEAR AND SEASON TO BE LIFTED UP—When you don’t know what to do, stand still and depend on what God has already spoken.

PRAYER: Father, forgive us for leaning on our own understanding. Today we choose to depend upon Your Word. Let it be bread to us when we are hungry. Let it be water when we are thirsty. Let it be light when we are in darkness. Let it be a sword when we are attacked. Write Your Word on our hearts. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
