Have you been surrounded by a strange army?
I. MY DEAR BROTHERS IN THE LORD, do unpaid bills, debt, job loss, family challenges, emptiness, sickness, loneliness, parental challenges, and the storms of life feel like the Syrians have surrounded you? When Elisha’s servant woke up, they noticed that the Syrian army had surrounded the city and they were trapped inside. But the prophet of God prayed for God to open their eyes to see the army of God ready to defend them. Today, it’s my prayer that God will open our eyes to see those with us. Philippians 4:19 says, “My God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory…” This is the encouragement we have in the Lord that He shall supply our needs not according to our resources but His riches. Take inventory like the widow in II Kings 4:2—"What do you have in the house? God often multiplies what you already hold, not what you wish you had. Practice radical gratitude and radical generosity. Luke 6:38 works. Giving in scarcity breaks fear’s grip. Make one wise financial move today. Faith without works is dead.
II. MY BELOVED SISTERS IN THE LORD, today, list three times God came through for you before. If God came through for you in the past, He will do that again. Change your confession. Instead of saying, “I can’t,” say, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Phil 4:13). Elisha didn’t fight the Syrian army. He prayed for vision. Your breakthrough may not start with you doing more but with you seeing more. The same God who opened Elisha’s servant’s eyes is here now. The chariots of fire haven’t left. It’s a battlefield declaration from God Himself. Maybe today you woke up to find your city surrounded by enemy chariots and horses, and you are panicking. Today, rehearse Elisha’s response to the servants who were trembling and running for cover. The servants forgot that they were working with the Prophet Elisha; they forgot the God their master serves who had delivered them in the past. Elisha declared, “Fear not, for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.” Then he prayed, “Lord, open his eyes.” Your problem is that you have only seen with natural eyes and that you are outnumbered. May the Lord open your eyes today.
III. DAUGHTER OF ZION, “Fear not” appeared 365 times in Scripture. Every day take one dosage of "Fear Not." God never sends you into a battle without guaranteeing His presence. Isaiah 41:10 says, “Fear not, for I am with you… I will strengthen you; I will help you.” Are your enemies more powerful than God? Are your troubles bigger than God? Are your challenges beyond God’s understanding? Do you believe in your God? Do you truly trust in the Lord you serve? Elisha said, "Today you may not see the chariots of fire, but you will see a devoted brother or sister who has been appointed to help you. Let God open your eyes to see the multitude of divine helpers destined to assist you. Ask God to open your eyes to see beyond the physical. Ask God to help you to look beyond the sickness. Lord, help us to look beyond our immediate predicament. Beloved, the body of Christ is your help.
IV. SON OF MAN, stop fighting physical battles and start fighting in the spiritual realm. Pray for open eyes like Elisha did for his servant. Ask God to show you the unseen help: intercessors, angels, future converts. Above all in Mark 6:31 – Jesus told the disciples to come apart and rest. Burnout is not a badge of honour; it’s a strategy of the enemy. Find time in spite of the struggles to rest; find that solid rock and put your head on him or her. Find a quiet place and hide for reflection. Revive your quiet time life again. Revive your habit of reading the Bible every day, for therein lies answers to your questions. Let us go back to the Bible. Let’s spend time with God through daily Bible reading, meditation, and prayer. Let’s teach our children the essence of daily devotion. Establish your daily altar and worship God. There are some problems, breakthroughs, miracles, and fresh anointing that come through praises and worship. This is a DIVINE NEW DAY PROPHETIC WORD of encouragement sent forth through the authority and power of Christ Jesus and delivered to the brethren through God's Vessel, Francis Ameyibor, Yes! Paul and Silas worshiped God in prison, and other prisoners heard them. Don't hide who you are in Christ Jesus. Through their praises and worship, the prison gates opened on their accord.
V. 2026 IS OUR YEAR AND SEASON TO BE LIFTED UP—Paul and Silas did not pray for the prison gates to open for their freedom, but their praises and worship hit heaven, and the prison gates opened.
