Beware of Strange Women and Men
I. SON OF MAN, is it well with your household? Is it well with you? Whatever the tidings, allow God to take control. Today I encourage you to guard your heart, home, and calling from strange women and men. In Scripture, “strange women or men” or “foreign women or men” carries both a literal and spiritual meaning. Women or men who are morally loose, seductive, adulterous, or operating outside God’s covenant of marriage. Proverbs 5:3 calls her lips “like honey” but her end “bitter as wormwood. " The same are the lips of strange men. Brother, anything that seduces your heart away from God’s order is strange. The strange women or men represent strange voices, strange philosophies, and strange covenants that pull you from your first love. Identify them and refrain from their company to save your life. We must at all times recognize the power, impact, and potential influence that are foreign to God’s wisdom, to our tradition, and to our culture. Stand against strange doctrines and practices. Let's speak out against strange women and men. Let's protect the sanctity of our family by evicting the strange women and men from our family life.
II. DAUGHTER OF ZION, strange women have the power to turn your heart from God, your family, your business, your mandate, and even your country. In 1 Kings 11:1-4, “King Solomon loved many strange women… and his wives turned his heart after other gods.” Beloved, your love for strange women and men is destroying your ministry, your church, your family, your business, and your career; flee from them and save your life. Remember that no man or woman falls into idolatry suddenly. It starts with entertaining strange counsel, strange affections, strange priorities, and strange company and associations. The moment your prayer life thins, your Scripture reading feels dry, and God’s voice grows distant, check the strange influences you have allowed. Is your social media life becoming that strange, woman, moving you away from God? Proverbs 5:8-10 teaches us about the consequences of associating with strange women and men: “Lest strangers be filled with your strength, and your labours go to the house of a stranger.”
III. MY BELOVED SISTERS IN THE LORD, don’t forget that strange women or men demand secrecy. Secrecy creates distance. Distance builds a hedge between you and your wife or husband and between you and your children. You may still live in the same house, but your heart is somewhere else. And children feel that absence before they can name it. Your strength, wisdom, time, and resources are finite. Strange relationships drain them. Solomon was the wisest man, yet strange women made him build idols. Samson was the strongest man, yet Delilah made him reveal his secret and lose his calling. You cannot afford to misplace your strength. Your business, ministry, and legacy are too important. Proverbs 7:25 – “Do not let your heart turn aside to her ways.” Strange women isolate you. They discourage you from godly friends, pastors, and accountability. “Don’t go along with the counseling of strange women"—because her counsel will always justify the compromise and silence the conviction of the Holy Spirit. The tragedy is not just what you lose but also what the next generation never gains.
IV. MY DEAR BROTHERS IN THE LORD, don’t go near strange men and women. Proverbs 5:8: “Remove your way far from her, and do not go near the door of her house.” Boundaries are not legalism. They are wisdom. Don’t foolishly test your seeming strength where God told you directly to flee. Flee youthful lusts. 2 Timothy 2:22. God knows our ability that we cannot withstand youthful lust, so he counsels us to flee from it. Don't stand there; don’t entertain it. No justification, no power, and no speaking of tongues can save you from youthful lust, so flee. Proverbs 5:18-19 encourages us. “Rejoice in the wife of your youth… Be intoxicated always in her love.” Loyalty is not maintained by fear but by delight. Water your own garden. Speak life to your wife. Be present for your children. A satisfied heart has no appetite for the strange. This is a DIVINE NEW DAY PROPHETIC WORD of encouragement sent forth through the authority and power of Christ Jesus and delivered to the brethren through God's Vessel, Francis Ameyibor, Yes! Beloved, the ultimate goal is not just to avoid sin but to keep your heart wholly for God.
V. 2026 IS OUR YEAR AND SEASON TO BE LIFTED UP—Strange women are a picture of anything that competes with Christ for your affection.
PRAYER: LORD! Help us to remember that our calling is too high, our family is too precious, and our legacy is too valuable to be traded for momentary pleasure, LORD! Help us to flee from the company of strange women and men. LORD! Help us to guard our hearts, and help us to watch and pray always and guide us to walk in wisdom. In Jesus Christ’s name, Amen.
