Nana Akua Addo denies leaking domestic violence videos, raises privacy alarm
Actress and fashion guru Nana Akua Addo has broken her silence over videos circulating on social media in connection with an alleged domestic dispute involving her and her children.
In a statement dated October 6, 2026, and issued through her lawyers, Nana Akua Addo said the videos and photographs were leaked without her knowledge or consent.
She strongly rejected suggestions that she had deliberately released the footage herself, insisting that she did not authorise its publication or circulation.
According to her, the circulation of the material raises serious privacy concerns, particularly because some of the videos reportedly feature one of her minor children.
She has therefore appealed to media organisations and members of the public to refrain from publishing, reproducing or sharing the videos in order to protect the privacy and wellbeing of her family.
Nana Akua Addo described the matter as deeply sensitive, noting that her family is already dealing with the trauma surrounding the incident.
She further disclosed that the matter is currently before the appropriate authorities and is sub judice. She consequently urged the public to allow the relevant legal processes to take their course.
The actress also expressed appreciation to the Ghana Police Service for what she described as its timely intervention and said she remains confident in the ability of the courts to address matters involving domestic violence.
Nana Akua Addo said she would speak further about the circumstances surrounding the videos and the alleged domestic dispute at the appropriate time.
