Nana Akua Addo hospitalised after alleged assault by husband

Ghanaian actress and fashion icon Nana Akua Addo has reportedly been hospitalised after allegedly being assaulted by her husband.

A video circulating on social media shows the actress with visible injuries following the alleged incident. She is seen with a swollen lip, a cut beneath her eye, while blood could also be seen on her clothes and on the floor.

The circumstances surrounding the alleged assault, including what may have led to the incident, remain unclear. It is also not yet independently established whether a formal complaint has been filed with the police.

Nana Akua Addo is a German-born Ghanaian model and actress who has gained widespread recognition for her bold and distinctive fashion choices, particularly her appearances at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA), where her outfits have repeatedly attracted public attention.

The actress married her longtime partner and baby daddy in a private civil ceremony in March 2022.

Before their marriage, Nana Akua Addo had publicly acknowledged that infidelity had been a challenge in their relationship. She previously explained that despite the difficulties, the couple decided to remain together, particularly for the sake of their daughters.
