'I have two wives; they all stay in my house' — Shatta Wale

Ghanaian dancehall artiste Charles Nii Armah Mensah, known popularly as Shatta Wale has disclosed that he is currently in a polygamous relationship.

The controversial singer has disclosed that he has two wives who live with him in the same house.

The musician made the revelation during an interview on the Nigeria-based Honest Bunch Podcast, which was uploaded on Monday, July 27.

According to Shatta Wale, his decision to embrace polygamy was influenced by his experiences in previous monogamous relationships, which he said ended in disappointment despite his commitment to his partners.

"I think I have two wives now. I don't want to lie about it," said the singer who added that both women live under the same roof.

Reflecting on his first relationship, the dancehall star said his first baby mama stayed with him when he had very little, but their relationship later broke down after his music career failed to take off as expected.

He also recounted challenges in another relationship after he became successful, saying financial stability did not prevent misunderstandings between them.

"I've been in single relationships that have not really helped me... So the next girl I got, and that's why I decided to be on this level," said the singer.

Shatta Wale further noted that his past experiences shaped his decision to pursue a polygamous lifeclass, which he believes better suits him.
