Stonebwoy Mourns Fantan Mojah: “Macka Tree Goes Home”

Stonebwoy, the Late Fantan Mojah

Dancehall icon Stonebwoy has paid a heartfelt tribute to Jamaican reggae star Fantan Mojah, describing him as a fearless voice whose music uplifted souls across the world.

In a message shared on X, Stonebwoy reflected on Fantan Mojah’s visit to Ghana for the 2025 Bhim Festival, saying hosting him was an honour and a celebration of a legacy rooted deeply in reggae consciousness.

“The Macka Tree Goes Home. It was an honour to welcome you to the Motherland and to celebrate your legacy at BHIMFESTIVAL 25,” he wrote.

Stonebwoy likened the late artiste to the symbolic “Macka Tree,” one of Fantan Mojah’s most iconic references, praising his unwavering devotion to truth, African identity and spiritually grounded music.

“You stood tall like the Macka Tree – rooted in culture, unshaken in truth, and sheltering generations with your sound. Rest well, Jah Warrior,” he added.

He noted that although Fantan Mojah has transitioned, his legacy remains alive through the powerful messages embedded in his music.

“Your songs were more than music – they were medicine, they were fire, they were faith. You uplifted my spirit, and you continue to uplift millions worldwide,” Stonebwoy said.

He concluded his tribute with a solemn farewell: “Fantan Mojah Forever in our hearts,” honouring the reggae legend whose work championed spirituality, justice and African consciousness throughout his career.
