DopeNation pledges GH¢1,000 support for each flood victim in Accra

Ghanaian music duo DopeNation has announced a humanitarian initiative to support families affected by the recent devastating floods in parts of Accra.

In a heartfelt statement shared on social media, the award-winning duo revealed that they will donate GH¢1,000 each to a number of flood victims and affected families, using proceeds from their ongoing Europe tour.

The musicians described the recent floods, which claimed lives and destroyed valuable property, as a tragedy that should inspire unity and compassion rather than despair.

"The floods in our homes resulting to the losses of life and valuable property isn’t just here to break us but to remind us of how strong we should be as one people with love," the duo wrote.

DopeNation acknowledged that while the financial assistance cannot replace lives lost or fully compensate for damaged property, they hope it will provide some relief to families struggling to recover from the disaster.

"This won’t solve the problem neither will it bring back the lives and property but will at least ease some tension amongst us," they added.

The announcement has been widely welcomed by fans and social media users, many of whom praised the musicians for extending a helping hand to flood victims during a difficult period.

The recent floods in Accra left several communities submerged, resulting in casualties, displacement of residents, and extensive damage to homes, businesses, and public infrastructure. In the aftermath of the disaster, individuals, corporate bodies, and public figures have continued to donate cash and relief items to support affected families..
