Samira Bawumia Inspires Students at UG GenZ Talk Show
Former Second Lady Samira Bawumia joined top influencers Ama Burland, Scanty and actor Kyekyeku at the University of Ghana’s Pent Hall GenZ Talk Show, where she received a rousing welcome from students led by the hall’s energetic jama group.
The charged atmosphere set the stage for an engaging conversation as Samira Bawumia encouraged students to channel their youthful energy into purposeful living and long‑term success.
“Your setback shouldn’t define you,” she told the audience. “Whatever goes wrong in your life doesn’t make you who you are. Who you are is who you choose to become. Every step comes with challenges, but staying focused and knowing your goal is important.”
She urged the students to surround themselves with people who inspire growth.
“Having the right people around you is important. Seeking the right counsel is important. Whatever you’re going through now is just a process — it’s molding you and making you better,” she said.
Mrs. Bawumia further encouraged them to embrace adversity as part of the journey toward achievement.
“You have to go through some fire and challenges before you come out successful. Don’t worry about what goes wrong. As long as you know your goal, you can always bounce back from setbacks and do even better.”
