'Mother’s Day' movie: Actor Emmanuel Asiamah shares screen with Adjetey Anang, Akrobeto

Ghanaian actor and philanthropist Emmanuel Asiamah, popularly known as International KKP, has featured in a new film directed by seasoned filmmaker Jackson K. Bentum.

The production, titled 'Mother’s Day', explores the sacrifices and everyday struggles of mothers in Ghanaian homes, with a central focus on love, resilience and family bonds.

The film brings together some of the industry’s well-known faces, including veteran actor Adjetey Anang and comic actor Akwasi Boadi, alongside other bigwigs in the movie industry.

In a social media post on Saturday, May 9, Emmanuel Asiamah described the project as a significant moment in his acting journey, noting the opportunity to work with some of Ghana’s most experienced performers.

He added that the experience provided valuable lessons and exposure, especially working on set with industry veterans.

“I’ve been featured in the movie Mother’s Day, a powerful film directed by Jackson K. Bentum. Having the opportunity to share the screen with legends like Adjetey Anang, Akwasi Boadi, and many more is truly an honour and a major milestone in my acting journey,” he wrote.

Meanwhile, the film is scheduled to premiere on Sunday, May 10, at Royal View Cinema, SG Mall in Ayigya, Kumasi, coinciding with the commemoration of Mother’s Day.

Mother’s Day is expected to deliver an emotional narrative that highlights maternal sacrifice and the strength of family ties within Ghanaian society.
