Prophet Kumchacha condemns wealth-based discrimination in churches

Founder and leader of Heaven’s Gate Ministries, Prophet Kumchacha, has called for an end to what he describes as growing wealth-based discrimination within churches.

Speaking during a panel discussion on United Showbiz, the outspoken preacher expressed concern over the preferential treatment some pastors allegedly give to wealthy members of their congregations while neglecting those who are less privileged.

According to Prophet Kumchacha, it has become common for certain church leaders to pay frequent visits to affluent members, regularly checking up on them and showing concern whenever they are absent from church activities—even for a short period. In contrast, he lamented that poorer members often receive little to no attention.

He further claimed that in some cases, pastors may not even know where their less privileged congregants live, highlighting what he sees as a worrying imbalance in pastoral care.

Prophet Kumchacha stressed that such practices undermine the core values of the Christian faith, which emphasize equality, love, and care for all members regardless of their financial status. He urged church leaders to treat every member with equal importance and dignity.
