Yaw Dabo sues Oboy Siki for $1million over alleged defamation

Kumawood stars Yaw Dabo Vs Oboy Siki

Kumawood actors Yaw Dabo and Oboy Siki appeared before a court in Kumasi today in connection with a high-profile defamation case.

Yaw Dabo, who is known for his work in the movie industry and his involvement in football administration, has sued Oboy Siki over comments made during an interview which he argues have damaged his reputation.

The suit is linked to an interview Oboy Siki granted after a football event in Kumasi, during which he allegedly made derogatory remarks about Yaw Dabo’s personal character. The comments subsequently circulated widely on social media and generated public discussion.

In court, lawyers for Yaw Dabo contended that the statements were false, injurious and made with malicious intent. They argued that the remarks have caused significant harm to their client’s reputation and professional standing and are seeking US$1 million in damages.

Oboy Siki’s legal team is expected to file a defence outlining their response to the allegations. He has previously apologised for the remarks, a development that could influence the outcome of the case.
