'We also have a case against Mzbel which we will bring to court later” — Fire Oja’s Lawyer reveals
Prophet Jedidiah Henry Kore, popularly known as Fire Oja, together with his legal team, has hinted at fresh legal actions against Ghanaian musician Mzbel, saying they are preparing to file their case in court at a later date.
Speaking to the media after the first court hearing, Fire Oja’s lawyer disclosed that while they are currently responding to Mzbel’s lawsuit, they also have several issues they believe deserve legal attention.
“We have our own cases against her, and at the right time, we will bring them before the court,” the lawyer stated confidently.
Fire Oja himself was equally outspoken, making it clear that apologizing to Mzbel is the last thing he would ever consider — unless it comes as a direct instruction from God.
According to the prophet, before the matter reached court, Mzbel’s lawyers allegedly wrote to him demanding an apology and proposing a settlement that involved paying her some money. He claimed he completely ignored the letter and threw it away, insisting he would not be pressured into admitting wrongdoing.
“I will only apologize if God tells me to do so,” Fire Oja said.
His lawyer further explained that the case itself is not a criminal matter, stressing that prophecy is not unlawful in Ghana. He noted that the law only intervenes when statements are deliberately made to harm another person’s reputation.
The ongoing legal battle began after Mzbel accused Fire Oja of making false and damaging claims about her life, including allegations linked to spiritual practices and fraud. The musician denied the accusations and reported the matter to the Ghana Police Service, which led to Fire Oja’s arrest and subsequent court appearance.
Mzbel has maintained that she resorted to legal action to defend her image and stop the spread of what she described as harmful falsehoods.
