GBC Sunrise FM’s Mohammed Zunurene wins Morning Show Host of the Year Award

The accolade for Morning Show Host of the Year, Eastern Region, at the 13th Edition of the ASGAB- Foklex Media Awards went to Mohammed Zunurene, the esteemed host of GBC Sunrise FM’s Ade Akye Abia Morning Show.

His recognition among 77 outstanding media personalities underscores his unwavering dedication and exceptional contributions to the industry.

Mohammed, also known for his role as the host of the Future Leaders program on Sunrise FM, stood out among seven other astute media personalities in the Morning Show Host of the Year category. His impact on societal development is undeniable, evidenced by his compelling presentations and probing questions on programs like Events in Focus, where he holds duty bearers and citizens accountable.

In his illustrious career, Mohammed has interviewed prominent figures including President Akufo-Addo, Ex. President John Mahama, and representatives of foreign missions and ministers of state. His fearless pursuit of truth and fairness has garnered widespread admiration. Beyond his professional duties, Mohammed provides media support and volunteers for numerous civil society groups.

While he is passionate about addressing developmental challenges across the Eastern Region and Ghana, he has a particular interest in areas such as Environmental Sustainability, Education, Health, Child Protection, Human Rights, and the Welfare of PWDs.
