UPDATE: Kuami Eugene responding to treatment after accident — Lynx Entertainment

Lynx Entertainment has confirmed that their artist Kuami Eugene is alive and receiving treatment after being involved in a car accident on Sunday night, March 17.

In a press statement released on Monday, Lynx Entertainment said "singer Kuami Eugene is alive and currently receiving treatment following a car crash on Sunday, March 17, 2024. Our artiste sustained some injuries together with one passenger but currently responding to treatment."

The statement adds that Eugene and one other passenger were injured after his car rammed into a tipper truck from behind around 11:30pm at CP, close to the DSTV station in Accra.

Lynx Entertainment thanked fans, media and the public for their outpouring of support but pleaded that the artist is given space to recover.

"We appreciate the outpour of love from fans, media and the general public but we plead the artiste is given much space at this moment as he begins his recovery," the statement quoted.

Eyewitnesses said Eugene suffered a broken wrist and deep cut on his right hand.

He was rushed to the University of Ghana Medical Centre for treatment together with the other passenger.
