Nigerian music sensation Davido has revealed that winning a Grammy Award is his 'prayer point' after making history with three nominations at this year's ceremony.

In a recent interview with GQ magazine, the 'Unavailable' hitmaker opened up on scoring the coveted nods - his first Grammy nominations.

"Everybody knows what one of my prayer points is now. I have been nominated for three Grammys. So, everybody knows what I am praying for every day I wake up," Davido told the publication.

Davido made history by securing three Grammy Award nominations in his first

entry in the prestigious global music awards.
The nominations for the 65th Grammy Awards were announced on Friday, November 10, 2023, with Davido earning nods in the Global Music Performance, African Music Performance, and Global Music Album categories.

In the Global Music Performance category, Davido's hit single "Feel" will compete against songs by Arooj Aftab, Burna Boy, Silvana Estrada and others.

He also received a nomination for “Unavailable" featuring Musa Keys in the African Music Performance category.

Davido's 2023 album "Timeless" is up for Best Global Music Album. If he wins, it would make him the second Nigerian solo artist to do so after Burna Boy made history with 'Twice As Tall'.

The category also includes projects from Burna Boy, Bokanté and Tyla.

The 2024 GRAMMYS, officially known as the 66th GRAMMY Awards, will air live on Sunday, Feb. 4, at 8-11:30 p.m. ET/5-8:30 p.m. PT from Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
