#OccupyJulorbiHouse: Who protested when I was in jail fighting fake prophecies? – Shatta Wale refuses to join protest
Ghanaian dancehall singer Shatta Wale has taken a swipe at netizens who are asking him to join the ongoing ‘OccupyJulorbiHouse’ demonstrations.
Following the arrest of 49 protestors on Thursday, September 21, Ghanaian social media users piled pressure on the celebrities to speak up against what they described as injustice.
The results of the said pressure have seen several celebrities like Kelvin Boy, Efia Odo, EL and others joining the protest on its second day.
However, Shatta Wale appeared unconcerned as he continually lambasted the protesters on Twitter.
On the score, one fan asked the ‘On God’ crooner, “So you refused to go for the demo,” to which the singer replied, “Did u demo for me when I was in jail fighting for foolish prophecies in the country ..Don’t be stupid.”
#OccupyJulorbiHouse:
This follows an ongoing 'OccupyJulorbiHouse' protest organized by pressure group Democracy Hub.
The protest aims to picket at Ghana's Jubilee House to express their plights over what they say is misgovernance of the ruling NPP administration led by President Akufo-Addo.
