'Masquerades' Premieres @ Silverbird Cinema
'Masquerades' , the new Ghanaian movie which features star actress Lydia Forson, will hit the big screens via a red carpet premiere at the Silverbird Cinema in Accra tomorrow, December 16.
Co-star and top Nollywood star Desmond Elliot, who played an interesting role in the movie, touched down at the Kotoka International Airport on Tuesday ahead of the much anticipated premiere.
' Masquerades ', described as a family comedy, also features top actors Katawere, Adjetey Anang, Senanu Gbedawo and a number of others.
Friday's premiere is expected to attract movie enthusiasts and the cast's fan base to the Silverbird Cinema.
' Masquerades ', directed by Belgian Xavier Arijs, was the last movie Ghana's late cinematographer, Bob J, worked on before his untimely death. It is a 70-minute comedy produced by Zedec Entertainment and sponsored by rLG communications.
The story was by Lydia Forson and Habiba Nelson, CEO of Zedec Entertainment, while screenplay was by David Ammah.
Everything about the movie is unique movie, especially the cast. Basically, the movie is a hilarious family comedy that explores today's contemporary family life during Christmas. It tells the story of family members who are forced to come home, as a result of the death of their uncle, for their first Christmas together after several years apart.
As the funeral expenses pile up and in pursuit of social status, each family member is determined to maintain a lifeclass that will compliment how rich they claim to be. There the intrigue and suspense begins. Movie enthusiasts will have the opportunity to uncover the entire story come December 16.
