Glo Grabs Becca
GLO MOBILE Ghana, one of the latest entrants in the country's mobile telecommunications industry, has unveiled one of Ghana's outstanding and versatile female afro pop artistes, Rebecca Acheampong, known in showbiz circles as , as an ambassador to promote its brand.
Although Glo did not disclose the amount involved in the deal with , BEATWAVES learnt that Glo paid good money to get on board.
GLO has already unveiled several movie and music stars, including Van Vicker, Nadia Buari, Jackie Appiah, Asem, Tinny, Amakye Dede, and a host of others as its ambassadors.
At a ceremony held at the Coconut Groove Hotel in Accra to introduce as a Glo ambassador, the Project Manager of Glo, John Vasikaran said, “ is a young enterprising, vivacious and talented musician who shares our value of youthful, positive energy and innovativeness. She is one of Ghana's most outstanding and versatile female musicians.
This diva is indeed deserving of this special honour”.
He noted that is part of the build-up to the fulfillment of Glo's avowed objective to roll out excellent and innovative telecommunications services that will immediately have a positive impact on every Ghanaian and transform the telecommunications sector.
